Today, the D. A. Kunaev Eurasian Law Academy is the only private specialized educational institution in the Republic of Kazakhstan with a legal profile. From the first days of its operation, the university focuses on the training of legal personnel for our country. The University has a high scientific potential for the training of legal personnel: the University has 5 departments, the total number of faculty members of the Academy is 105 people, 23 doctors of science, 44 candidates of Science. From 2001 to 2010, the Dissertation Council for the defense of candidate and doctoral theses functioned. During the specified period of activity of the Council, more than 200 candidate's and more than 30 doctoral theses were defended.

The Academy interacts with international foundations and organizations, maintains educational and scientific ties with the University of Potsdam (Potsdam, Germany), Katowice School of Economics (Katowice, Poland), Istanbul Kultur Universitesi (Istanbul, Turkey), Tashkent State Law University (TSUU) (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Zelenogur University (Zelenogura, Poland), Chinese University of Political Science and Law (Beijing, China), Ili Pedagogical University (Yining, China), with the Institute of Management Development (Singapore).

The Department of International Relations and Academic Mobility coordinates the activities of the Academy for cooperation with foreign universities, the formation and promotion of joint educational programs; organizes the reception of foreign specialists and students; organizes the training of students and internships of the Academy's staff in foreign scientific and educational institutions.

The main tasks of the department are:

- increasing the mobility of students and staff of the Academy in the international educational space;

- introduction and implementation of joint educational programs; development of international activities of the university through the participation of the Academy in international scientific and innovative programs and projects;

- development of language training of employees and students;

- participation in the international accreditation of educational programs in order to improve the rating of the Academy.

Academic mobility is the transfer of students or research teachers for a certain academic period (including the passage of academic or industrial practice), usually a semester or academic year, to another higher educational institution (within the country or abroad) for training or research, with the mandatory transfer of the completed educational programs in the form of credits at their university.

1. The general procedure for implementing external academic mobility of students at the D. A. Kunaev UEA

1.1 Students can participate in the academic mobility program during the entire period of study, with the exception of the first and last courses.

1.2 Students have the right to independently choose a partner university, determine the list of disciplines to study, and then submit an application to the graduating department.

1.3 Based on the applications of students, the Department of academic mobility together with the head of the Department considers the possibility of concluding a Memorandum of Cooperation with foreign partner universities.

1.4 On the basis of the submission, a tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation is concluded between the academy, the partner university and the student.

1.5 On the basis of the Invitation of the partner university, students together with the graduating department prepare an individual curriculum. After the approval of the individual curriculum, students draw up the necessary package of documents (an application addressed to the rector, a copy of the tripartite agreement, an invitation, an IUP).

1.6 On the basis of the package of documents submitted to the student and the submission of the head of the Department of International Relations and Academic Mobility, the head of the student department issues an order on external academic mobility.

1.7 After receiving a copy of the order, the student independently applies for a visa (if necessary) at the embassy of the country of study and purchases medical insurance.

1.8 Upon completion of their stay at the partner university, students submit a transcript and an academic certificate to the Academy.

On the basis of the transcript, in accordance with the concept of academic mobility of the Republic of Kazakhstan, credits are transferred according to the ECTS type.
