The department's activities are aimed at implementing the Academy's informatization development strategy, which includes the development of a unified network infrastructure, the introduction of the latest information technologies in the educational process, automation of financial and economic activities, office management and document management of the Academy. One of the main activities of the department is the formation of a modern integrated information system of the academy, in the Internet information space, the provision of modern electronic services for teachers and students, the creation of a full-fledged information and educational corporate portal of the university. The Department carries out purposeful work on improving the informatization of the Academy, the technical equipment of all structural divisions of the Academy, improving the quality of user service and the level of electronic services provided, the use of new modern information technologies in the implementation of the strategic objectives of the department.
Akamemia has access to the Internet via a fiber-optic connection with the provider. The connection speed, according to the contract with the provider, is 200 mb/s. In the academy building, for the convenience of users, a network is implemented via a UTP-5E network cable, an RJ-45 connector for classrooms, departments and administration, and Wi - Fi with a high connection speed that allows you to quickly connect to Internet resources. This connection is regulated and separated at the physical level.
All computer classes are integrated into a local network. The scheme of the local network of the academy is based on the organization of physical connections in the form of a star. This scheme is the fastest local network. The data transmission medium is a twisted pair UTP5e, with a transfer rate of 100-1000 Mb / s.
In 2015, the Academy started switching from an analog phone to a digital one, and 90% of the telephony systems switched to IP telephony.
The Academy uses round-the-clock, high-speed 200 Mbit / s, unlimited Internet traffic.
The university's LAN is connected to the Internet. The provider is NLS Kazakhstan and DKP Kazaktelecom. The Academy uses two channels:
- fiber-optic channel-speed of 200 Mb/sec., traffic Unlimited
- fiber-optic channel-reserve speed of 8Mb / sec., traffic Unlimited
For students, there are "FreeWifi" zones for students in the electronic resources hall and in the lobby.
The Academy has an official website www.vuzkunaeva.kz, (advertising site: http://kunaev-edu.kz/ )which contains up-to-date information in 3 languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. Here you can find information about the university, the university management, news, events and events. It provides up-to-date information about training programs and specialties.
To test the knowledge of students in local computer networks and the Internet for all forms of training, an educational portal is used http://univer.vuzkunaeva.kz based on the software "Univer 2.0".
Currently, there are 8 servers and 148 pieces of computer equipment. Of these, 71 computers are installed in 4 computer classrooms. 148 computers have access to the Internet network.
